How Spanish practice works

Solveig shows a new Spanish word with its English meanings and examples, with pronunciation available to hear. Later, you type what it means from memory. If you miss an answer, you see the correction and practise it. Your answers guide the balance of new words and reviews, so difficult vocabulary gets another opportunity.

Solveig uses spaced repetition to plan reviews from your practice history. You still need to practise regularly; a progress bar is a record of your learning, not a promise of fluency.

If you already study Spanish, use vocabulary practice alongside the parts of the language you enjoy: reading, listening or conversation. A short review session can help you retrieve words that felt familiar yesterday. Spaced repetition spreads reviews over time rather than asking you to reread the same list in one sitting.

Yes. You can listen to Spanish words and displayed example sentences during practice. The course uses a Spanish pronunciation voice; it is not a collection of every regional accent.

How do the Spanish reviews work?

Solveig uses your answers and practice history to schedule reviews. Difficult words return sooner, while successful recall can increase the time before the next scheduled review.
